The RTC5572G is the right-hand front brake caliper for the non-vented (solid disc) setup on the Land Rover Defender 90. It houses the hydraulic pistons that press the pads against the disc when you brake, and bolts to the swivel housing.
Will this caliper fit a Defender with vented front discs?
No. This caliper is for the non-vented (solid) front disc only. The vented-disc setup uses a wider caliper body and thicker pads, so the two aren't interchangeable. Check your front disc type before ordering.
How do I confirm this fits my Defender 90?
This right-hand caliper fits the Land Rover Defender 90 up to VIN KA930455 with non-vented front discs. Use your VIN to confirm you're within that range. Listed alternatives are STC1263 and SEB500440.
Should I replace both front calipers at once?
Front brake calipers are usually renewed or overhauled in axle pairs so braking stays balanced side to side. A single new caliper against a worn or seized one can cause pulling under braking. This is the right-hand side; the left is RTC5573G.
