Voorste aandrijfas - links voor de vroege Discovery 1, die de aandrijving van het voordifferentieel naar het linkervoorste fuseehuis overbrengt.

De aandrijfas loopt door de voorasbuis, met het binnenste uiteinde vertand in het differentieel-zijtandwiel en het buitenste uiteinde vertand in het Birfield homokinetische gewricht in het fuseehuis.
