Frequently asked questions

What does the TF511 rear spring dislocation cone do?
The TF511 rear spring dislocation cone seats into the base of the rear coil spring mount and lets the spring unseat cleanly at full axle droop, then guides it back onto its seat as the suspension compresses. It's used with extended-travel shocks to allow greater off-road articulation without the coil jamming.
How many dislocation cones do I need?
The rear axle has two coil springs, so dislocation cones are typically fitted as a pair, one per rear spring. Fitting them in pairs keeps articulation balanced side to side.
Which Defender does the TF511 fit?
The TF511 is listed for the Land Rover Defender 110 and 130 (1987-2016). The longer-wheelbase rear spring setup is the intended application, so check your wheelbase before ordering.
