Tandveerring van het Starlock (borgring) type, een opschuifborgring die wordt gebruikt om een onderdeel op een gladde as te bevestigen of om een bevestigingsmiddel te borgen tegen trillingen.

De veerkrachtige interne tanden bijten in de as of schroefdraad, waardoor het loskomen dat chassis- en motortrillingen anders zouden veroorzaken, wordt tegengegaan. Een eenmalig te gebruiken borgring, die moet worden vervangen wanneer deze is losgemaakt.
