Window Weatherstrip is the rubber glass-run seal for the fixed Alpine side and rear windows of the fibreglass hard top.

It grips the edge of the window glass and seats it into the body aperture, locating the glass while sealing the joint against water and wind ingress. The seal is symmetrical and fits either side. A perished or shrunken weatherstrip allows water to track into the load area, so it is renewed to restore a weathertight seal.

Frequently asked questions

What is the ALR8364 window weatherstrip and what does it do?
The ALR8364 window weatherstrip is the rubber glass-run seal for the fixed Alpine side and rear windows of the fibreglass hard top. It grips the edge of the glass and seats it into the body aperture, locating the window while sealing the joint against water and wind. The seal is symmetrical and fits either side.
How many window weatherstrips do I need?
Each ALR8364 weatherstrip seals one fixed window, so you'll typically need one per Alpine window you're resealing. A hard top usually has several Alpine lights, so count the windows being done. Because the seal is symmetrical, the same part fits left or right.
Why does the window weatherstrip need replacing?
A perished, hardened or shrunken weatherstrip lets water track into the load area, the usual reason for renewal. Rubber seals on older hard tops typically dry out and shrink with age and UV exposure. Fitting a fresh ALR8364 seal restores a weathertight joint around the glass.
