Genuine: Original manufacturer part. This product is the original part designed and produced by the vehicle manufacturer.
Domed Nut - union nut securing a hydraulic pipe to an actuator in the ACE (Active Cornering Enhancement) anti-roll bar system.

It clamps the ACE high-pressure pipe union onto the suspension actuator port, retaining the connection that feeds hydraulic pressure to the actuator; a Dowty sealing washer (companion part RYF100420) seats under the union to seal the joint.

The ACE hydraulic circuit is highly sensitive to dirt ingress, so the connection must be kept scrupulously clean whenever it is disturbed.

Frequently asked questions

What is the ANR6653 domed nut used for?
The ANR6653 is a union nut that secures a hydraulic pipe to an actuator in the ACE (Active Cornering Enhancement) anti-roll bar system. It clamps the high-pressure pipe union onto the suspension actuator port.
What should I check before disconnecting this union nut?
The ACE hydraulic circuit is highly sensitive to dirt ingress, so keep the connection scrupulously clean whenever the ANR6653 is disturbed. Even small amounts of debris entering the open union can contaminate the system.
Does the ANR6653 need a new sealing washer when refitted?
Yes, a Dowty sealing washer (RYF100420) seats under the union to seal the joint, and it's good practice to fit a new one whenever the ANR6653 is removed rather than reusing the old washer.
Can the ANR6653 domed nut be reused?
It can typically be reused if it's undamaged and the threads are in good condition, since it's a mechanical union nut rather than a single-use fastener. Focus on renewing the sealing washer underneath it.
