What is the DA5231 locking fuel cap and what does it do?
The DA5231 is a lockable diesel fuel cap that seals and secures the filler neck. The lock deters fuel theft and tampering while the cap seals the filler against dirt and moisture on late diesel Land Rover and Range Rover models.
Does this cap fit petrol models?
No. The DA5231 fits diesel models only and will not fit petrol filler necks, which use a different design. It suits the New Defender L663, Discovery 5, Discovery Sport, Range Rover Velar, Evoque L551 and Range Rover L460 in diesel form, so check your fuel type first.
Do I get a key with the locking cap?
A locking fuel cap is typically supplied with its own key to lock and unlock it. Keep the key safe, as a lost key usually means replacing the cap. Fit it in place of the standard cap on the diesel filler neck.
