Plain Washer - flat load-spreading washer, 5/8 in (15.9 mm) outside diameter with a 5/16 in (7.9 mm) bore.
Fitted under a bolt head or nut, the washer distributes the clamping load across a wider area of the mating surface and protects panel work, brackets and soft mounting faces from being drawn in or deformed as the fastener is torqued. It also gives the fastener a flat, square bearing face where the component surface is uneven or slotted.
A general-purpose fixing washer used at body, chassis and tank mounting points.
