Side Member is a structural body member forming part of the rear seat mounting structure, providing the anchorage for the inward-facing rear seats.

Fixed within the rear body, it carries and locates the seat fixings and transfers the load of the folding bench seats into the surrounding structure. A corroded or distorted side member weakens the security of the seat mountings, so it is replaced to restore a sound anchorage.
