Frequently asked questions

What is the BA 2106 front spring set and what does it do?
The BA 2106 is a pair of front coil springs for the Land Rover Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic. They seat between the front axle and the chassis spring turrets, carrying the front of the vehicle while letting the axle articulate over rough ground.
Why are these front springs sold as a pair?
These front springs are sold as a matched pair so both sides are replaced together. Fitting one new and one older spring typically leaves the vehicle sitting unevenly and upsets handling, so both front springs are usually changed at the same time.
What are the signs that front coil springs need replacing?
Sagging or uneven ride height at the front is the main sign front coil springs need replacing. A broken spring can also cause knocking over bumps and uneven tyre wear. Coil springs typically weaken gradually with age and load.
How do I confirm these springs fit my vehicle?
These springs fit the coil-sprung Land Rover Discovery 1 (1989-1998) and Range Rover Classic (up to 1994), both of which use front coil suspension. Confirm your model against the fitment list before ordering.
