EGR Vacuum Hose for the 2.5L 200 TDi diesel engine, part of the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) vacuum control circuit.

The hose carries the vacuum signal that operates the EGR valve, allowing a metered quantity of exhaust gas to be recirculated into the intake to lower peak combustion temperature and reduce emissions.

Frequently asked questions

What does the ERR244 EGR vacuum hose do?
The ERR244 EGR vacuum hose carries the vacuum signal that operates the EGR valve on the 2.5L 200TDi diesel engine. That signal opens the valve to recirculate a metered amount of exhaust gas into the intake, lowering peak combustion temperature and reducing emissions.
Why do these vacuum hoses need replacing?
EGR vacuum hoses typically perish, crack or split with age, heat and underbonnet oil exposure. A leaking hose loses the vacuum signal, so the EGR valve can stop operating correctly. Replacing a brittle hose restores proper EGR control on the 200TDi engine.
How do I confirm the ERR244 fits my Discovery 1 or Range Rover Classic?
On Discovery 1 the ERR244 fits 2.5L 200TDi from VIN FA393361. On Range Rover Classic it fits the 2.5L 200TDi with 5-speed manual from VIN JA610294. It also fits diesel Defender models. Use your VIN to confirm the 200TDi build.
