Exhaust Down Pipe is the front section of the exhaust system, joining the V8 exhaust manifolds to the intermediate pipe and carrying an integral catalytic converter.

It routes exhaust gas from the manifold flanges rearward through the catalyst and into the centre section. This is the front downpipe assembly for V8 petrol applications with the 5-speed manual transmission.
