The bearing shells sit between the big end of each connecting rod and its crankshaft journal, carrying the load through a pressure-fed oil film. The set covers the big ends of all four connecting rods and is renewed whenever the crankshaft is disturbed.

Higher-output Ingenium variants use a different bearing and are not covered by this set.
