Brand EBC Yellowstuff
Brake Disc - Rear, supplied as an axle pair. Part of the foundation braking system on the rear axle.

The disc provides the friction surface that the rear brake pads clamp against, converting the vehicle's momentum into heat under braking. It bolts to the rear hub and rotates with the road wheel, running inside the rear brake caliper.

Discs are replaced in axle pairs so braking remains balanced side to side. Fit new brake pads at the same time and bed the new surfaces in before hard use.

Frequently asked questions

What is the GA4472 rear brake disc and what does it do?
It's a solid, non-vented rear brake disc pair for the Range Rover L322, 2002 to 2009. It bolts to the rear hub and provides the friction surface the rear brake pads clamp against, converting momentum into heat under braking.
Do I need to replace both rear discs at the same time?
Yes, this disc is supplied as an axle pair and should be fitted both sides together. Replacing only one side unbalances braking force across the rear axle, so always do both, along with new pads.
Is this the vented or solid rear disc for my L322?
This is the solid, non-vented rear disc for the L322. The vented version, GA4473, uses a different casting with internal cooling vanes, check which one your vehicle came with before ordering, as they aren't interchangeable across trims.
Why do rear brake discs wear out on the L322?
Rear discs typically wear from scoring by worn pad material, corrosion pitting during long periods of light use, or heat-cracking under hard braking. Symptoms include a pulsing pedal, visible grooves on the friction face, or a rusty lip forming at the disc edge.
