Replaces the top coolant hose running between the engine and the radiator. Silicone construction gives a wider operating temperature range than a standard rubber hose.

One-piece kit with an integral bleed screw, which cannot be removed or replaced. Hose clips are not included.

What is the GA4572 silicone coolant hose kit for?

The GA4572 kit replaces the top coolant hose between the engine and radiator on the Td5 2.5 litre five-cylinder turbo diesel. It's a one-piece silicone hose with an integral bleed screw, giving a wider operating temperature range than the standard rubber hose. Hose clips aren't included.

Does the GA4572 fit all Defender diesel engines?

No, the GA4572 hose kit fits the Td5 engine only. It doesn't fit the 200 TDi, 300 TDi, or Puma 2.4/2.2 TDCi variants, since these use a different coolant hose routing and connection at the radiator.

Why does the top coolant hose need replacing?

Rubber coolant hoses harden and crack with age and heat cycling, and on the Td5 the factory bleed screw built into the original hose can also fail. Since the GA4572's bleed screw is integral and can't be replaced separately, the whole hose is renewed if either part fails.
