Spare Wheel Carrier Bolt - threaded clamp bolt (tie bar) for the bulkhead- and body-side-mounted spare wheel carrier.

It passes through the centre of the road wheel and clamps the spare wheel against the carrier. The spare wheel is retained entirely by this fixing, so a corroded, stretched or damaged bolt should be renewed rather than reused.
