Inlet Manifold Gasket sealing the upper inlet manifold section to the lower inlet manifold section on the 2.0L 4-cylinder MPi T Series petrol engine.

The MPi induction system uses a two-piece inlet manifold; this gasket seals the joint between the upper section and the lower section that bolts to the cylinder head. It is a separate item from the manifold-to-head gasket and is disturbed whenever the upper section is removed.

A leak at this joint admits unmetered air into the induction tract and typically shows as an erratic idle.
