Oil Separator for the crankcase ventilation circuit on the M62 B44 4.4L V8 petrol engine.

The separator sits in the positive crankcase ventilation path and removes entrained oil mist from blow-by gases before they are returned to the induction system, draining the recovered oil back towards the sump. Supplied as an assembly.

A blocked or split separator disturbs crankcase pressure regulation, which can show as oil consumption, oil carried into the intake, or leakage at engine seals.

Frequently asked questions

What does the LLP000010 crankcase oil separator do?
The LLP000010 crankcase oil separator is part of the crankcase emission control system on the Range Rover L322 with the BMW M62 4.4 V8 petrol engine. It separates oil mist from crankcase gases before they return to the intake, keeping oil out of the induction system.
Which Range Rover and engine does this fit?
This oil separator fits the Range Rover L322 with the BMW M62 B44 4.4 V8 petrol engine. It's specific to that BMW-engined petrol L322, so confirm your engine is the M62 4.4 V8 rather than a later Jaguar-derived or diesel unit before ordering.
What happens when the crankcase oil separator fails?
A failed crankcase oil separator typically causes oil consumption, smoke, or crankcase pressure problems on the M62 V8, as oil mist is no longer separated from the breather gases. Cracked housings and split diaphragms are common failure points on these Range Rover L322 units.
