Fuel Supply Manifold - the high-pressure common rail of the HPCR fuel injection system on the 2.4L Duratorq TDCi four-cylinder diesel.
Fuel arrives from the high-pressure pump and is held in the manifold, which acts as an accumulator keeping rail pressure steady between injection events, and is distributed to the four injectors through individual high-pressure pipes.
The rail pressure sensor threads into the manifold body and reports actual pressure back to the engine management system, which regulates pump delivery to match demand.
