Front brake caliper spring kit for the front brake caliper and pad assembly.
The springs sit between the brake pads and the caliper body and hold the pads under light preload. This removes the free play that causes pad rattle over rough surfaces and keeps the pads correctly positioned in the caliper as the friction material wears. One kit covers the front axle.
The springs lose tension over time and are a frequent source of front-end rattle, so they are commonly renewed together with the front brake pads.
