Radiator Assembly - main engine coolant radiator for the supercharged 5.0L V8 petrol engine, mounted at the front of the cooling pack.
Coolant leaving the engine passes through the radiator core, where the airflow entering the front of the vehicle carries the heat away before the coolant returns to the water pump. This radiator is specific to the supercharged 5.0L V8 petrol installation. Failures are usually mechanical rather than gradual: a split plastic end tank, a leaking tank-to-core crimp seam, or core damage from stone impact and corrosion.
Inspect the core face, the end tanks and the crimp seams for seepage before condemning other cooling components. After fitting, refill and bleed the system to the specified procedure, then check the coolant level again once the engine has been through a full heat cycle and cooled down.
