Air conditioning compressor - the pump of the air conditioning refrigerant circuit, mounted on the front of the engine and driven by the accessory drive belt.

The compressor draws low-pressure refrigerant vapour from the evaporator outlet and delivers it at high pressure to the condenser. An electromagnetic clutch in the drive pulley engages and releases the compressor under control of the climate system. Specified for the 4.0L V6 petrol (Cologne) engine.

Supplied as a complete compressor assembly with the clutch pulley fitted.
