Brake Disc Splash Shield - Rear - RH - Galv is the right-hand rear brake disc splash shield, the backing plate mounted behind the disc on the rear axle.

It sits between the axle flange and the brake disc and shields the inboard face of the disc and the caliper from water, mud and road debris thrown up by the wheel, reducing contamination of the friction surfaces. For installations with four-wheel anti-lock braking.

The shield is galvanised to resist corrosion. Right-hand side only; the left-hand shield is a separate part.
