Suspension Arm Bush for the front upper suspension arm, moulded in polyurethane rather than bonded rubber.

The shouldered bush locates in the inboard eye of the upper arm and carries the pivot bolt that secures the arm to its body-side mounting. Polyurethane deflects less than a bonded rubber bush under cornering and braking loads, so front suspension geometry is held more tightly, at the cost of transmitting more road noise and vibration into the body.

A polyurethane bush is not bonded to the arm and works on a lubricated sliding interface: grease the bush bore and flanges on assembly, and tighten the pivot bolt with the suspension at normal ride height.
