The sensor links the vehicle body to the rear suspension arm and continuously reports the rear ride height to the air suspension control module. The module uses this feedback to regulate the air springs, keeping the vehicle at its target ride height and levelling it under load.

This is the rear sensor for applications equipped with Continuous Variable Damping (CVD).
