Fitted to the rear hub and rotating within the rear brake caliper assembly, the disc forms the friction surface against which the brake pads clamp to generate rear braking force. The vented construction incorporates internal cooling channels between the two braking surfaces to promote heat dissipation. The high-carbon composition improves thermal resistance and reduces the tendency to develop surface cracks under repeated high-temperature braking cycles.
