It forms part of the four-corner electronic air suspension system: the damper controls wheel oscillation from road inputs while the integrated air spring supports vehicle load and allows ride-height control. Supplied as a complete unit, it replaces the shock absorber and air spring together, and fits either side of the rear axle.
