What is the LR047322PR shock absorber?
This is the rear shock absorber for models with air suspension but without adaptive (electronically controlled) damping. It controls rear axle movement alongside the air spring. As the passive, non-adaptive version it has no electronic control connector. Fits Range Rover Sport L494 (2014-2022).
How do I know if I need the non-adaptive version?
This is the less adaptive damping damper, for cars without electronically controlled (adaptive) dampers. Adaptive-equipped cars use a shock with a wiring connector for the electronic valve. Check whether your car has adaptive dynamics before choosing, as the two aren't interchangeable.
Should rear shocks be replaced in pairs?
Rear shock absorbers are usually best replaced as a pair. A fresh damper on one side and a worn one on the other gives uneven damping across the rear axle. Signs of wear include a floaty ride, poor body control and fluid leaks.
