Rear Door Latch - the left-hand (driver side) rear door latch assembly, mounted in the shut face of the rear door.

It engages the striker on the body pillar to hold the door closed and secured, and integrates the powered central-locking actuator. On vehicles specified with soft-close, the assembly also draws the door fully shut from the ajar position.
