Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve for the 2.2L TDCi diesel engine, forming part of the exhaust gas recirculation circuit.
The valve meters a controlled portion of exhaust gas back into the intake tract, lowering peak combustion temperatures to reduce the formation of oxides of nitrogen (NOx). It operates downstream of the EGR cooler and regulates recirculated flow into the intake manifold under the control of the engine management system.
