Blower Motor and Fan - the electrically driven fan unit of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) housing.

The motor turns the squirrel-cage fan that draws air in through the HVAC intake and cabin filter and forces it across the heater matrix and evaporator into the cabin distribution ducts. Fan speed is governed by the blower motor control module, so a blower that runs only at certain speeds, or not at all, may originate either at the motor itself or at its control unit.
