Oil Cooler Gasket from the oil cooler and filter housing assembly of the 4.4L DOHC DITC V8 diesel.

The gasket seals the joint between the oil filter housing and the engine oil cooler, containing pressurised oil where it passes into the cooler to give up heat to the coolant circuit. It is a single-use item and should be renewed whenever the housing and cooler are separated; a failed gasket allows an external oil leak at the housing-to-cooler joint.
