Engine Mount Insulator - Upper is the bonded rubber-to-metal isolator fitted in the upper engine mounting position of the transverse Ingenium powertrain installation.

It locates the engine against the body structure and reacts drive and overrun torque, while isolating combustion and driveline vibration from the body. The same insulator is used across the 2.0L AJ20P4 and 1.5L AJ20P3 petrol, 2.0L AJ20D4 and AJ21D4 diesel, and plug-in hybrid installations.

A perished or collapsed insulator typically shows as increased vibration at idle and noticeable powertrain movement under load or on gear changes.
