Air Conditioning Condenser is the front-mounted heat exchanger of the air conditioning refrigerant circuit, carried in the cooling pack ahead of the engine radiator.
It receives high-pressure refrigerant vapour from the compressor discharge line and rejects that heat into the airflow passing through the front of the vehicle, condensing the refrigerant to a liquid before it continues to the expansion device and evaporator. Condenser performance therefore sets the high-side pressure of the whole circuit: a blocked or corroded core shows up as poor cooling at low road speed together with elevated head pressure.
The same condenser serves the four-cylinder petrol and diesel, plug-in hybrid, V6 and supercharged V8 installations.

The refrigerant charge must be recovered before removal, and the system evacuated and recharged with the specified refrigerant and oil quantity on completion.
