Water Outlet Connection - coolant outlet component in the engine cooling circuit of the 3.0L DOHC GDI supercharged V6 petrol engine.
It forms the junction between the engine coolant outlet and the connecting hoses, and works alongside the thermostat housing to route coolant leaving the cylinder head into the radiator circuit. It is part of the thermostat and water outlet assembly group.
Because the connection is subjected to continuous heat cycling and system pressure, failure normally shows as a coolant seep or drip at the joint face, or as a hairline crack in the body. Check the mating faces and sealing surfaces on reassembly.
