NOx Trap Temperature Sensor from the exhaust aftertreatment system of the 2.0L I4 AJ200 Ingenium diesel engine.

The sensor reports exhaust gas temperature at the NOx trap to the engine control module. The ECM uses that signal to decide when the trap can be regenerated - purged of the NOx it has stored between cycles - and to protect the aftertreatment hardware from thermal overload while regeneration is running.

Fitted to EU6 diesel applications with a diesel particulate filter. A drifting or failed sensor typically presents as a stored emissions fault code, an aborted or repeatedly triggered regeneration, or a reduced-power condition. The sensor threads into a boss in the exhaust; apply anti-seize compound to the threads and tighten to the specified torque.
