Coolant Bleed Hose - small-bore hose in the engine cooling system, running from the cylinder head bleed point to the coolant expansion tank.

It vents air displaced from the cylinder head coolant jacket during filling and in normal operation, allowing trapped air to escape to the expansion tank so that the head and heater circuit fill completely. A perished or leaking bleed hose leaves air in the system, which shows up as unstable coolant temperature, reduced heater output and gradual coolant loss.

Fitted to the 3.0L AJ20P6 / AJ22P6 Ingenium six-cylinder petrol engine, including PHEV builds.
