Water Outlet Connection forms part of the engine cooling circuit, mounted at the cylinder head coolant outlet.
It carries coolant leaving the cylinder head into the top radiator hose, providing the sealed junction between the engine's internal coolant galleries and the upper hose of the cooling system. The mating face seals against the head with a gasket or O-ring.
A distorted, corroded or cracked connection results in coolant loss and air ingress at the top hose joint, and is a common cause of slow coolant level drop and overheating.
