Fuel Tank Sender Unit Assembly, mounted inside the fuel tank as part of the fuel level sensing system.
The assembly carries the fuel level sensor, whose variable output is read by the instrument pack to drive the fuel gauge and the low fuel warning. It locates in an aperture in the top of the tank and is sealed and retained at that aperture.
Fitted to petrol applications. Erratic, sticking or permanently low gauge readings and a low fuel warning that will not clear are the typical symptoms of a failed sender.
