The bolt secures the engine mounting to its bracket. It carries the static weight of the powertrain together with the torque reaction and vibration loads fed through the rubber-isolated mount, which makes it a highly loaded fastener working against a compliant joint.

Tighten to the specified torque figure for the joint. Where the original fastener is a torque-to-yield type it must be renewed rather than reused, since a stretched bolt will not develop the correct clamp load a second time.
