Water Pump is the coolant circulation pump of the 1.5L AJ20P3 three-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine, including the plug-in hybrid application.

Mounted to the engine, it circulates coolant through the cylinder block and cylinder head and out into the radiator circuit, with flow through the radiator regulated by the thermostat. A worn pump bearing or a leaking shaft seal will show as coolant loss at the pump body and rising engine temperature.

Replace the pump sealing ring or gasket whenever the pump is disturbed.
