Shock Absorber - Rear - rear damper for standard duty coil spring suspension with continuously variable damping (CVD).

It controls suspension movement at the rear axle and carries an electrically operated valve that the suspension control module adjusts in real time, varying the damping rate with road surface and driving conditions. It is not interchangeable with a passive damper - the electrical connection and control signal are required for the system to operate.

Dampers are renewed in axle pairs so that damping stays balanced side to side.
