Front Shock Absorber, right-hand side, with CVD (Continuously Variable Damping), part of the front suspension strut and air spring assembly.

The damper mounts between the front lower suspension arm and the body mounting turret and controls spring oscillation and wheel movement, working alongside the air spring to maintain tyre contact, ride height stability and body control.

A solenoid valve integrated into the damper varies the hydraulic restriction inside the body in response to the adaptive dynamics control module, so the damping rate adapts continuously to road surface, load and driver input. The electrical connector at the damper must be reconnected on fitting for the system to operate.

This is the variant specified for four-corner electronic air suspension with ACE (Active Cornering Enhancement) and CVD, excluding SVR specification.
