Rear Brake Pad Kit - friction pad set for the rear disc brake assembly, supplied as an axle set covering both rear calipers.

The pads locate in the caliper carrier either side of the brake disc and are clamped against the disc faces by the caliper piston under hydraulic pressure from the rear brake circuit, converting wheel rotation into heat and generating rear braking torque.

Brake pads are a wear item and are renewed as a complete axle set so braking effort stays balanced side to side. Inspect disc thickness and run-out, the caliper slide pins and the piston dust seals whenever the pads are changed.
