Front Brake Disc - Coated - vented cast iron disc for the 18-inch front brake package.
Mounts to the front hub behind the road wheel and provides the friction surface the front caliper pads clamp against, converting the vehicle's kinetic energy into heat under braking. Cooling vanes cast between the two friction faces pump air radially outward as the disc turns, carrying that heat away and resisting the pad fade and thermal distortion that follow repeated heavy braking.
A protective coating is applied over the hat, outer edges and vane passages to hold back surface corrosion on the areas the pads never touch; the swept friction faces clear within the first few brake applications.
Fit in axle pairs so braking effort stays balanced side to side, and renew the pads at the same time so the new friction material beds evenly to the fresh disc surface.
