Brake Disc - Cross-Drilled and Grooved - Front - ventilated front brake disc with a cross-drilled and grooved friction face, for the front brake discs and calipers assembly.

The disc measures 349 mm in diameter and mounts to the front hub, carrying the same caliper and hub geometry as the standard front disc for the 18 in front disc and caliper package. Machined grooves sweep dust and gases out from between the pad and the disc face, keeping the friction interface clean and reducing fade under repeated braking. The cross-drillings add surface area for heat dissipation and give the gases a further route to escape.

The angled grooves are largely self-clearing in use. Drillings can pack with mud after off-road work; washing them out afterwards preserves both braking performance and pad life.

Two discs are required per axle. Brake discs should be replaced in axle pairs, with new pads fitted at the same time. A performance or ceramic pad compound suits a drilled and grooved disc best.
