This is a quality alternative, designed to fit and function like the original part, often at a more competitive price.
Auxiliary Radiator - a supplementary heat exchanger in the engine cooling circuit, mounted in the front cooling pack alongside the main radiator.
It carries part of the coolant flow through its own core, adding heat-rejection capacity beyond that of the primary radiator so coolant temperature is held under sustained high load, high ambient temperature or towing. The same auxiliary radiator is used across petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid installations.
Cores are replaced rather than repaired. Impact damage to the fins, corrosion at the tube-to-header joints and seepage at the plastic end tanks all reduce heat transfer well before they show as a visible leak.
