Front Fog Lamp - exterior lighting unit that mounts into the lower aperture of the front bumper.

The fog lamp produces a wide, low-set beam that lights the road surface and verge immediately ahead of the vehicle in fog, heavy rain and spray, conditions in which a conventional dipped beam is reflected back towards the driver. It is supplied as a complete lamp unit and connects to the vehicle harness through a plug connector at the rear of the housing.

Fog lamps sit low in the bumper and are exposed to stone chips and standing water, so lens cracking, moisture ingress and corroded connector pins are the usual reasons for replacement.
