Camshaft Cover Bush for the 4.4L M62 B44 V8 petrol engine, fitted at the camshaft cover fixing points on the cylinder head cover.
Each bush seats in the cover around a retaining fastener, sealing the fixing and isolating the cover from the cylinder head so it can be clamped down without distorting. The elastomer hardens and takes a permanent set with heat and age, which shows as oil seepage around the cover fixings. Several are used per engine, so they are normally renewed as a complete set whenever the camshaft cover is removed.
