Lower Radiator Hose is the return leg of the engine cooling circuit, running between the radiator bottom outlet and the engine coolant inlet.

It returns cooled coolant from the radiator to the water pump inlet, completing the circuit fed by the upper hose. The moulded assembly is shaped to suit the front-end routing and carries the full delivery of the pump, so softening, ballooning under pressure or perishing at the end fittings are the signs that renewal is due.
